The CSEG Ski Spree is fast approaching, and the committee welcomes you all to join us on the friendly slopes of Fairmont, British Columbia. This year will be even more fun with the Olympics happening at the same time! There will be an Olympic theme at the event, which will include a viewing party on Friday, February 20th for one of the Semi-Final games of the Olympic Men's Hockey competition in Milan, and if Canada makes the Gold Medal game there will be a viewing party on Sunday morning at 6am to cheer on the team to Olympic victory!

Winter is upon us, and the ski hills are getting some good snow, so dig those skis out and get ready to hit the slopes. We are looking forward to the 59th annual CSEG Ski Spree, that will take place from February 20th to 22nd, 2026 at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in beautiful British Columbia.

The first Ski Spree took place in 1967 and has been held at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort every year to date. We look forward to continuing this long-standing tradition. The CSEG Ski Spree is an excellent opportunity to network with industry colleagues, see old friends, make new connections, and take home some shiny hardware! While this event always prioritizes a family focus, it is open to anyone from the Geoscience community in Calgary and beyond. We look forward to seeing you all in Fairmont in February!
