Small Modular Nuclear Reactors or SMnRs have attracted a significant amount of interest in Canada, related to their potential role toward decarbonizing Canada’s future. 

A panel, comprised of Jeff Bonham, project director, Fluor and Terry Jamieson, executive consultant, New Nuclear Development Strategy and Advice, Andy Hayward, director of Advanced Reactor Development for NB Power and James Ward, general manager, NSMDC will unpack unique opportunities regarding the deployment of SMnRs in Canada, including a discussion on technologies, international perspectives, stakeholder engagement, power production costs and their applicability in green hydrogen production.
